La Vida Loca, such a good move

The director of this movie, Christian Poveda, was murdered on September 2nd 2009 in the suburbs San Salvador.

He paid with his life for an exceptional investigation in the hear of the Mara 18, one of Latin America's most violent gangs. Far from any form of sensationalism, « La Vida Loca » is steeped with humanity.
I loved it.

go to http://www.lafemme-endormie.com/vidaloca/en/vida_locaEN.html for the trailer with english subs.  The whole movie is on youtube.

la bronca / the anger

i've been feeling so angsty these last couple of days, i feel like i have a ball of fire inside me and i want to fucking punch someone in the face and bite their ears off. it makes me feel like a sociopath.

desde hace algunos dias estoy con mucha bronca, siento que tengo una bola de fuego adentro y quiero romperle la cara a alguien y arrancarles las orejas de un mordisco. me siento como una sociopata.

The Argentine barras bravas, ultra-violent football supporter groups, have played a disruptive role at many World Cups.
In Mexico in 1986, fighting between Argentine and English supporters left several fans hospitalised. In Italy in 1990 two factions fought for prized places behind the goal mouth during Argentina matches.
In the 1998 World Cup in France, police classified the Argentine barras bravas as the most violent and dangerous fans in Latin America.
This year, among those deported from South Africa is the leader of the San Martin barra brava, Sergio Roldan. He is out on bail and is under judicial process for the murder of a 13-year-old boy. There were delays in obtaining his criminal record and he got as far as South Africa.
Within Argentine football the barras bravas have been linked to club management and even national politicians in a Mafia-like relationship.
Argentine sports journalists say clubs give them privileges and they act as a kind of "rent-a-crowd" during protests and elections for politicians. Players have also complained of threats from barras bravas and extortion rackets.

watch it, lady!

Lady Gaga's wacky outfit sets off airport security alarms

Lady Gaga’s eccentric style has landed her in trouble – checking in at an airport.
The Poker Face singer’s outrageous studded outfit set off alarms at London's Heathrow on the weekend.
The singer had just wrapped up her UK tour and was heading back to the US when she was stopped by airport officials.
Her leather studded playsuit with matching handbag set off alarms and she was forced to undergo a check at a security point – and made to have a full body scan.
But when officials realised it was Gaga's outfit that had caused the panic, they allowed her to carry on with her journey.
A source told UK Sunday newspaper People: "She wasn't too happy but everything was fine."

I had to get this off my chest

I understand that Scissors can beat Paper, and I get how Rock can beat Scissors, but there's no fucking way Paper can beat Rock. Paper is supposed to magically wrap around Rock leaving it immobile? Why the hell cant paper do this to scissors? Screw scissors, why can't paper do this to people? Why isn't notebook paper constantly suffocating students while they take notes in class? I'll tell you why, because paper can't beat anybody, a rock would tear that shit up in 2 seconds. When I play rock/ paper/ scissors, I always choose rock. Then when somebody claims to beat me with their paper I can punch them in the face with my already clenched fist and say, oh shit, I'm sorry, I thought paper would protect you, you asshole.

Gotta be pure galang unda stress...

... and this song helps me for some reason.  When demons are threatening to slit my throat i listen to this, imagine i'm in Baltimore in 1972,  lying on the beach with young Kris Kristofferson about to go down on me.
Comforts me for about 5 minutes.
